The Catholic University of America

To advance the educational opportunities of the Defense Acquisition, Technology and Logistics workforce, The Catholic University Of America (CUA) School of Engineering and the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) have established a strategic partnership leading to a Master of Science degree or one of four Engineering Management related Professional Certificates.

The CUA Engineering Management Program will enable members of the Defense Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (AT&L) workforce to use certain Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certification courses to meet degree and certificate requirements within the CUA School of Engineering. This program will be available to any member of the Defense AT&L workforce who has an engineering or physical science bachelor's degree from an accredited university, has at least Level I Certification in one or more DAWIA acquisition career field, and meets the admission requirements for the CUA Engineering Management Program.

The CUA Engineering Management Program has provided military and DoD technical professionals with convenient, quality education for twenty-five years. The majority of the program's graduates have been from the military services, the service departments, or defense industry. The program offers three tracks toward a Master of Science degree: Project and Systems Engineering Management, Engineering Management and Organization, and Technology Management. Four Professional Certificate Programs are available: Engineering Management, Project Management, Systems Engineering Management, and Management of Information Technology.

This DAU/CUA partnership incorporates applicable DAU courses into the CUA Engineering Management Program to enhance the learning experience for the DoD technical management professional. In as little as four semesters (less than a year and a half) of part-time evening study the MS program can completed. Up to 9 credits can be transferred for DAU courses that have ACE graduate level accreditation (http://www.dau.mil/learning/appi.aspx#ACE) and are applicable to the Engineering Management degree. The classes are held at the northern end of Crystal City, VA (within easy walking distance of the Pentagon). There is free parking and easy access to Metro.

In addition, CUA offers several evening programs in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering on the CUA campus in Washington, D.C.

Admission to the Engineering Management Program is easy. Isn't this program something you you've been thinking about doing? There will never be a better time than the present. Call or email us to discuss your academic future.
