Dr. Bailey worked for NASA for 23 years, at the Marshall, Ames and HQ Centers. During this time, Dr. Bailey was on an Intergovernmental Personnel Act to University of Alabama for two years teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in mechanical engineering. While at NASA, Dr Bailey performed mechanical testing, systems engineering, and project management for a variety of programs. Dr Bailey is currently with the Department of Defense training the acquisition workforce in systems engineering, science & technology management and Information Systems.
Dr Bailey has been a member of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) since 2002 and is an Associate Fellow, chair of the Systems Engineering Technical Committee, member of the Value Driven Design Program Committee, member of the Committee on Standards and member of the Organizing Committee for the Space 20xx Forum.
