Research Interests:

The application of multi-attribute utility analysis as well as systems analysis and engineering economics to the implementation of environmental, safety, and health regulations and the optimization of resources mathematical modeling or system design.

Professional Experience:

Mr. Barnes has been a lecturer in The Catholic University of America Engineering Management Program since the Fall 2016 semester.  He has instructed undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of engineering economics, systems analysis, and Mathematics.  Mr. Barnes is presently associated with CALIBRE Systems, an employee-owned management consulting and information technology solutions company supporting government and industry.  CALIBRE is a leading provider of management consulting and information technology solutions serving clients in the public and private sectors - defense, federal / civil, and commercial corporations.  Mr. Barnes is also a Retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Army and is an active member and Youth leader at Fairfax Community Christian Church in Fairfax, VA.
